What a delight this project was. A back garden which was incredibly run down and overgrown. A busy professional couple were excited about the idea of re-creating a beautiful, lush garden to relax in and enjoy.

The initial challenge was to remove a large granitic boulder wall, crumbling and overgrown with climbers and large roots. The wall was dismantled and the boulders were re-used as a garden edging. Feature trees of Maples, Dogwood, Forest Pansy, Ornamental pears, Crepe myrtle were selected as strong stop points together with a woodland under planting story. Choisya, Agastache, Chinese plumbago, Euphorbia, roses, iris’, hellebore, hydrangea, fuschia, azalea’s,etc. A brick path was recreated for access to the cottage, carefully matching the bricks of the house.

Sir Walter buffalo turf was laid and an irrigation system installed tapping into two large water tanks. An absolute delight to view the finished work and accepting the comments of a very happy client. So much so we have commencing rejuvenation of the front garden. How exciting!
